A 37-year-old man is in custody following a triple shooting early Monday at the Helen Vine Detox Center in San Rafael, the Marin County Sheriff's Office said. The shooting left one dead and two others wounded.

Davance Lamar Reed, who authorities said is a transient between Marin and Vallejo, is being held for an early morning pursuit for a "mechanical infraction" not related to the shooting. Sheriff's officials said Reed "made admissions to the detectives," which tied him to the crime scene at the detox center.

Authorities have identified the surviving victims of the shooting as Anthony Dominguez Mansapit, 32, and Brittney Kehaulani McCann, 30. Mansapit worked at the detox center and McCann, a Marin resident, has a dating relationship with the suspect, the Sheriff's Office said. Both victims remain in ICU at Marin General Hospital.

The Marin County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday identified 52-year-old Nathan Lamont Hill, of Vallejo, as the deceased victim.

The shooting was first reported at 1:33 a.m. when authorities received a call from the detox center. The caller or callers reported that staff members had been shot. Arriving deputies found two men and one woman suffering from gunshot wounds, the sheriff's office reported. One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene.

No clients at the detox center were injured, the sheriff's office reported.

An investigation is ongoing.
