Stricter Verification Sought For Ride-Hailing Drivers

Uber is working with law enforcement to investigate a scheme exposed by NBC Bay Area that involves fake driver accounts created with stolen information. Now a California lawmaker is looking to make rideshare companies verify driver’s licenses as yet another person came forward, saying he’s the victim of identity fraud.
