Sunday Showers, Turning Breezy

An area of low pressure tracking inland to our south is bringing bands of rain in from the northeast through the morning mainly affecting the East Bay and South Bay. We’ll see clearing first north of San Francisco, aided by increasing northerly winds which will increase to 10-20 mph later in the afternoon. Areas from San Jose southward however may be slow to clear as cloud cover converges in the Santa Clara Valley with some lingering showers possible in the hills south of San Jose as moisture moving in from the north is forced to rise, which results in some rain at times. By this evening with the low further south we should see the last of the showers winding down with high clouds and more mild temperatures to start the work week. Hope you enjoy your Sunday! – Rob Mayeda
