Pot Club Approved in SF's Sunset District

Following lengthy debate Thursday. San Francisco’s Planning Commission has reportedly approved a controversial plan for a marijuana dispensary in the Outer Sunset. Not everyone is onboard with the plan which calls for a combined pot club and Chinese medicine clinic on Noriega street and 32nd avenue. The group running it is headed in part by former Oakland mayor Jean Quan. Hundreds of opponents reportedly tried to address the commission at yesterday’s meeting. It followed protests earlier in the day outside city hall. The Examiner reports planners approved the project by a vote of 5-to-one.
