Switching to Electric Vehicles Can Save Drivers Hundreds: Report

A new report revels how much money an electric car can actually save drivers. The Union of Concerned Scientists crunched the numbers: Oakland drivers, whose power is provided by PG&E, can save $900 in fuel costs per year by switching to electric. In San Jose, the switch can save drivers $880. In San Francisco, PG&E customers can save $960 dollars and CleanPowerSF customers can save more than $1,000.
