Very Rainy Days Ahead

Expect rain off/on throughout the day with showers shutting down into early Wednesday morning. My advice to you in terms of getting things done outside or trimming back branches/yardwork, do so on Wednesday and Thursday. As early as Thursday evening we’ll start seeing winds increasing and rain moving back into the Bay Area. This late week system will pack winds in the 20-35 mph range and periods of heavy rain, especially for the coastal mountains. The weekend will include more off/on heavy periods of rain, more so its looking like for Saturday with Sunday being a somewhat in-between day with heavier/widespread rain returning later Sunday night into Monday. Small stream/creek flooding out of the coastal mountains and North Bay hills is definitely possible, so stay tuned to the radar link on our NBCBayArea.com weather page as well as The Weather Channel at weather.com. – Rob Mayeda
