Video Forecast: Cool, Breezy Mom's Day

A fairly strong yet somewhat moisture starved weather system will spin up and over the Bay Area into Sunday evening – bringing a slight chance for some drizzle and light rain showers at times – mostly for area north of Marin County and east of the delta/East Bay hilltops. All of us though will experience some cool, breezy conditions with Sunday’s highs only in the 50s to mid 60s. Despite some expected sunny breaks Mom’s Day is definitely looking cool around the Bay Area. Be mindful if you’re traveling to the Sierra we’re talking *snow* as low as 5,000 feet which means some chain/cable type driving conditions may pop up for the end of the weekend. Temps should try to climb by Tuesday and midweek into the 70s again for inland valleys but nowhere near the 90s we saw last week. Keep an eye on next weekend as well – as nearly all the computer models are hinting we’ll see a wetter weather system lifting into California for a real widespread chance for rain. Apparently all those April showers just brought… May showers! Happy Mom’s Day! – Rob Mayeda
