Volunteers Repair Homes Belonging to San Jose Flood Victims

Months later, the community is still coming together to help victims of the San Jose floods. Victims like Gregory and Donna Poen who had to flee as the water rose 18 inches underneath their house in the Golden Wheel mobile home park. Flood damage has already been repaired by a non profit called Rebuild Together Silicon Valley. The agency is coming back Saturday with volunteers to finish other repairs not related to the flood, like the furnace, and give them home a new coat of paint. On Saturday, the non-profit and hundreds of volunteers will be repairing about 40 homes in the Santa Clara Valley. Much of the work will focus on stair repair since many of the homeowners
