WWII Vet Honored 67 Years Later
A Menlo Park man finally receives a military honor. In 1945, Carl Clark saved lives and prevented the sinking of a U.S. Navy Destroyer during World War II — and he did it while injured. Clark never received a medal for his act of bravery because of the color of his skin. NBC Bay Area’s Traci Grant shows us how the 95-year-old Navy hero was recognized during a special ceremony at Moffett Field.
