A sea breeze will give way to strengthening high pressure for the weekend – which means steady warming inland and more sunshine out near the coast by Sunday. Look for highs on Friday in the 60s for the coast with patchy low clouds and 70s to lower 80s inland. By Sunday its looking more like 80s for the Bay and 90s inland with 70s near the beaches. If this offshore pattern develops as strongly as the models suggest – we may manage some clear skies for fireworks near the peninsula, and certainly warm weather inland for Sunday evening.
