Summer sun & fog – Rob Mayeda's forecast

We’re seeing a battle between two climates — hot/dry conditions inland versus cool/moist air surging inland off of the ocean. Its looking like we’ll see a blend of 60s/70s near the coast and bay with some 80s and still a few 90s well inland. By midweek, the sea breeze and low clouds should win out in terms of our temperatures as things trend more mild. Temperatures should begin rising again heading into next weekend. As high pressure begins building westward out of the southwest – we may see some mid-level moisture streaming in from the southeast – something to watch for isolated mountain thunder perhaps late this week.
