Warmer Days Ahead

Another morning of chilly 20s and 30s in the inland valleys will change to a fairly pleasant afternoon with highs in the mid 50s to low 60s around the Bay Area. Clouds will increase later in the day as a weakening weather system breaks up before bringing rain to the Bay Area. We should however benefit by a little more marine air pushed inland and some clouds helping to keep Friday morning temps up a few more degrees. As high pressure strengthens into early next week, temps near the coast and bay should climb well into the 60s and possibly even upper 60s, close enough to near some records. No sign of any significant rain is in the extended forecast as well, with some models keeping us dry right on through Christmas Day.- Rob Mayeda
