Bay Forecast: Mild With Showers At Times This Week

Its looking like it may take awhile longer before we see temperatures rise back into the 70s/80s inland again. The jet stream will anchor itself just to our north pretty much through the week, encouraging weather systems to clip by the Bay Area tossing some rain our way around Wednesday. Temperatures will stay on the cool side thanks to onshore winds and cooler air aloft settling in on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday should see modest warming into the low to mid 70s inland but just in time for the weekend now its looking like another system will spin down the coast, bringing cooler temps, breezy conditions and probably some showers as well. Approaching the start of June – about 10 days out from now – a large ridge of high pressure is looking a little more likely to build in across the West Coast – which would provide our first real taste of warm/hot temps inland should it verify. Fans of warmer temps can hold on to that thought for now as we navigate through another breezy and fairly cool/mild week ahead. – Rob Mayeda
