Video Forecast: Blame It On The Rain

If your commute is slowed during the day Monday, you may be able to blame it on the rain. With a fairly zonal jet stream pattern anchored in just to our north, be prepared for some rain chances every 2-3 days to start the work week and into next weekend. First up is a system that will drop some rain across the Bay Area into the Monday morning commute. Its looking like the frontal boundary will stall and weaken over the South Bay by the afternoon – prolonging the periods of showers perhaps until the evening hours. For Tuesday things are looking dry with the next chance for rain arriving later on Wednesday. Its looking like most of the rain with this second system should arrive overnight into early Thursday before skies clear heading into Thursday afternoon. Round #3 may try to foil Easter Sunday afternoon plans – especially for areas north of San Francisco. – Rob Mayeda
