Blustery weekend ahead with rare August showers

What a wild week of weather we’re seeing around the Bay Area. Of course we all know how it started with record breaking heat then turning much cooler the last two days. Now for the weekend we’ll see an even cooler twist that will include more wind and possibly some isolated showers as well. A fairly strong trough spilling down across Northern California will spread more clouds over us Saturday and crank up winds in the 15-25 mph range. Most of the moisture needed to produce showers will be over the North Bay hills and Sierra, however we can’t rule out a few isolated showers around the ‘Bay later Saturday especially near our hilltop locations. By Sunday most of this system heads east and our winds turn a bit more northerly – which should help to clear things out and warm things up starting Monday.
