Chance of (Meteor) Showers and Summer Sunshine

We finally managed to see a full spread of our typical Summer microclimates on Saturday with highs in the 90s around Fairfield, Concord, Pleasanton and Livermore with 70s and 80s inland elsewhere and 60s closer to San Francisco and the coast. Sunday should see roughly the same, though some indications are the marine layer may deepen slightly which would in turn drop some temps especially around the inner bay locations to wrap up the weekend. A full moon tonight may spoil some viewing of this year’s Perseid meteor shower – only the really brightest meteors will likely be seen with the moon glare obscuring most of the fainter meteor trails. Low clouds will likely form again near the shoreline and extend locally inland over the next two days. Some warming is expected inland early in the work week with more 90s likely for the hottest spots in our inland valleys. Enjoy your Sunday!
