Cool July Continues – Rob Mayeda's Forecast

With a marine layer nearly 2,700 ft. high and a steady push of cooler air coming in off the ocean – no doubt we’re in for another unusually cool day around the Bay Area. Highs will remain mainly in the 50s and 60s near the coast and inner bay with some 70s further inland. Temps should begin slowly climbing inland around Thursday as high pressure nudges in and tries compressing down that cooler layer of air (we call the marine layer) to keep most of its cooling effects near the coastline/bay – allowing inland valleys and foothill locations to climb back into the 80s and even near 90 by the start of the weekend.
