Cool July Temps Ahead

More marine air spilling inland will continue to keep temperatures running below what you’d expect for this time of year, especially for our inland valleys. Look for highs in the 50s/60s near the coast and peninsula with some 70s to low 80s farther inland around the Tri-Valley and areas south of San Jose. The marine layer depth will range from 2,000-2,500 feet for the start of the work week which will insure that cooler air will have no trouble surging inland. Highs will likely stay in the 50s-70s range through most of the week with some warming returning in time for next week as high pressure nudges back closer to the bay and compresses the marine layer back to the seashore again. Enjoy your Sunday!
