Cooling Changes Ahead

Another record breaker around the Bay Area on Sunday with new records for Santa Rosa 83, San Francisco 77, San Jose 77 and Oakland 81! Our early Summer weather preview will give way to more traditional February weather as we move through the week. Cooler systems dropping down from the north will usher in cooler air with our highs dipping back into the 50s and 60s by Tuesday with gusty conditions in the hills at times. Later in the week we’ll be watching an overall long-term pattern change with a trough setting up just offshore that will introduce a chance for some rain next weekend. For now – the timing is still being ironed out but plan on a chance for rain next weekend with increasing chances for heavier rain around the 14th-16th. Enjoy your Monday! – Rob Mayeda
