Fair For Father's Day, Heat Soon

First, Happy Father’s Day to all Dads around the ‘Bay today, and I’m happy to report the weather should shape up fairly nicely with only two areas for possible complaint – patchy thick low clouds near the coast and increasing northerly winds esp. in the higher hills of the North and East Bay. These north winds will act more or less like a hair drier – warming/drying the air as the marine layer goes from nearly 2,000 feet thick today down closer to 1,000 ft later. By Monday-Wednesday look for further compression of the marine layer down to near 500 feet or so which means we’ll likely still see cool temperatures near the beaches (60s/70s) and San Francisco while across the bay into our inland valleys we’ll see 80s and 90s through midweek. Like last week, its looking like we’ll start to see some cooling come Thursday and Friday as the sea breeze strengthens and the marine layer deepens again and pushes further inland. Enjoy your day! – Rob Mayeda
