Father's Day Forecast

Saturday looks to be the coolest day we’ll see out of the next seven thanks to a steady sea breeze and plenty of low clouds to nearly 2,000 ft.+ thick = highs in the 50s to low 60s around the coast and peninsula and mainly 70s inland. Wind will begin turning more northerly during the day Sunday which should lead to a quick warm up for our North Bay and inland valleys with many spots soaring in the 80s inland for Father’s Day Sunday after some patchy morning low clouds. Temps will continue climbing it seem through Wednesday as high pressure strengthens again – much like last week’s midweek warm up though indications are this time around we may manage a few more inland 90s. Cooling resumes later Thursday into Friday as a stronger sea breeze provides a little more “ocean a/c” heading into the weekend. After the forecast check out Kris’ interview with Ralph Schardt of the Michael Lee Environmental Foundation talking about Bay Area birdwatching – pretty interesting stuff. – Rob Mayeda
