Feels Like Summer

We’ll see pretty much the tale of two weather patterns for the week ahead. First, we’ll see a real taste of Summer weather just in time for the official start of Summer on Tuesday morning. Our typical microclimate spread will be in full effect with 60s and 70s near the coastline, mostly 80s around the inner bay and 90s further inland across our valleys. By Wednesday we’ll be watching for the return of low clouds moving up the coastline from the south, hinting and much cooler Thursday and Friday for all areas. Temps will drop from the 80s/90s on Wednesday into the 60s to low 80s by Thursday as a trough hangs up over the Pacific Northwest keeping temps fairly mild with breezy conditions heading into next weekend. As our temperatures warm up its a reminder that fire season isn’t all that far away – and be mindful of how hot temperatures can quickly rise inside parked cars even with the windows slightly rolled down. In just takes a few minutes for the inside of a car to soar well over 100 degrees. Thankfully the hotter temps will be mostly gone by Thursday as we welcome back a dose of ocean a/c for all areas including our inland valleys. – Rob Mayeda
