First Week of Fall Forecast

Temperatures should cool slightly heading to Wednesday as incoming weather systems brush by to the north, pumping up the sea breeze and keeping our temperatures mainly in the 60s and 70s around the bay with some 80s inland. Fall gets underway on Wednesday and shortly afterwards we’ll see a pretty robust swing in the weather. A pattern change starting late Thursday looks to bring us some real heat for our inland valleys in time for the weekend. A strong ridge of high pressure building over the region on Friday will boost temperatures into the 80s and 90s for most of the Bay Area starting this weekend. This pattern will need to be watched both for the hotter temps but also some offshore winds, should they turn gusty enough possibly warrant some fire weather watches as well. Stay tuned. – Rob
