From Frost to Showers to Warming Ahead

We’ve got a pretty chilly start to the morning with lows in the 30s and 40s to start the day – good enough for patchy frost. Don’t expect much of a warmup today as high clouds spilling in will filter out and reflect away incoming sunshine – keeping many spots in the North Bay only in the 50s for highs and fairly cool temperatures elsewhere. We’ll see a chance for some rain late in the North Bay, spilling southward overnight. Amounts are expected to be fairly light – mainly in the .10″ to .33″ range – and most of that falling in the North Bay.A few lingering showers may last into early Wednesday morning as we transition into a dry pattern that could stick around for quite some time. Slight offshore winds will probably push some patchy Central Valley fog into our North and East Bay valleys over mornings later this week – but areas near the inner bay and coast should enjoy afternoon highs in the upper 60s to low 70s. Pretty pleasant weather all around for most past Wednesday.- Rob Mayeda
