Heat Continues Inland, Some Cooling Begins

We’ll see an interesting battle for our weather play out over the Bay Area today, as deepening marine layer hints at cooling ahead, however warm air inland will insure less cooling for our inland East Bay valleys. Temps inland especially in the Tri-Valley and areas south of San Jose will rise through the mid 80s and upper 90s again, with some cooling starting for the coast by midday and into the bay by mid-afternoon. Our sea breeze should gradually strengthen into Monday with slight cooling for inland locations, then more significant cooling by midweek as the marine layer doubles in depth, in which case the cooler air will have no trouble spilling all the way inland. Enjoy your Sunday! – Rob Mayeda
