Hot, Dry Weather Continues

Offshore winds will crank up temperatures and fire danger around the Bay Area today.Where winds will be the strongest and humidities the lowest – will correspond to our highest fire danger risk – mainly hilltop locations around the north/east bay. In this pattern the air will warm and dry down to near sea level with some 90s possible even near the bay and ocean (Santa Cruz). An excessive heat warning will likely last into Wednesday for our inner bay locations.Eventually as stratus/fog begins moving up the coastline – we’ll get a punch of cooler marine air moving in by Thursday for the coast/bay and slowly cooling down inland area by Friday. Temps will drop noticeably heading into the weekend for inland areas with highs in the 60s and 70s as the marine continues to deepen with partly cloudy afternoon skies.- Rob Mayeda
