More Rain & “Air Canada” Arriving Soon…

As we wait for our next round of widespread rain – we’ll manage some sunny skies with a few scattered showers at times for today and highs only in the mid 50s. Expect rain to fill in again later tonight into the first half of Tuesday from a very chilly system moving down the coast. Snow levels may dip to near 2,000-2,500 in spots around the North Bay early Tuesday morning. Some very cold, dry air will filter in behind this system that will set the stage for some frosty and possibly icy starts to the mornings around midweek.A key factor in just how cold things get is if the winds back off enough on Wednesday morning. More wind = slightly more mild temperatures (think upper 30s to 40s instead of 20s and 30s). Its a good bet we’ll at least see some frost/freeze advisories Wednesday and Thursday mornings. This could cause some issues for the getaway travel drive/fly on Wednesday morning. Use caution driving before 9am as temps will certainly be cold enough to support some patchy ice in spots. Our overnight temps should trend a bit more mild as more clouds return heading into the weekend with our next chance of rain looks to arrive around Saturday.- Rob Mayeda
