Soggy Start, Showery Finish to Sunday

Rich subtropical moisture continues feeding into the Bay Area for the morning, giving us areas of light to moderate rain at times. We’ll likely see the rain change over to more scattered, isolated showers by the evening before winds kick in overnight to help shut down the showers and clear our skies a bit. Highs will be mainly in the mid 50s to lower 60s. Tonight’s winds could get a bit gusty in the hills from 10-20 mph for most and some gusts near 35 mph in the higher hills. Monday is looking mainly dry before another chance for showers arrives Monday night into Tuesday morning courtesy of a weakening weather system. What’s left of the showers should be gone by later Tuesday morning with warming and drying into Wednesday. Another chance for some showers returns later on Thursday mainly for areas north of San Francisco. – Rob Mayeda
