Solar Eclipse Sunday Forecast

Its looking like some low clouds will begin pushing toward the coastline late the day but as the partial (nearly 85% Sun coverage) annular solar eclipse begins after 5pm most of the Bay should see mainly clear skies for good viewing of the event. Some high clouds may drift in from the north later but skies will be otherwise clear inland with temperatures climbing into the mid to upper 80s in the warmest spots inland before our late day sea breeze begins cooling temps down. The week ahead is really looking much cooler with some drizzle or light coastal rain possible early Tuesday with windy conditions into Wednesday. Next weekend’s forecast is looking like we may see some showers depending on the track of a cutoff area of low pressure. What’s more certain is breezy and cooler temperatures will be the rule for most of the week with highs mainly in the 60s to lower 70s after Monday. Enjoy your Sunday! – Rob Mayeda
