Some Rain For Now & Ghostly Clear for Halloween

I will be the first to say I fully appreciate our troublesome weather system holding position long enough Thursday evening to get our World Series Game Two in before rain returned to San Francisco this morning. Where the rain falls today will be drifting westward early as the low continues churning just to our southwest, then eventually lifts back our way again as showers (and possibly isolated thunder) move overhead late today into Saturday. We’ll see showers as this system finally moves east with clearing into Sunday. We have one more relatively weak system moving in from the north on Sunday that will likely toss a few showers from Sonoma county northward on Sunday afternoon while the rest of the Bay Area remains dry. Halloween evening is looking drier, cool with warmer temperatures to follow early next week as a fairly impressive ridge of high pressure builds in over Nevada boosting our temperatures back into the 70s again. Have a happy and safe Halloween weekend and go Giants! – Rob
