Sunday Sun & Showers – Monday Fog

We’ll see a few more showers moving through a somewhat unstable airmass into the afternoon. While skies will be sunny at times, temperatures will remain cool with highs in the mid to upper 50s. Some of the more intense showers could contain some small ice pellets/hail thanks to the pretty chilly air and lowered freezing levels higher up. By evening, most of the showers should have ended and we’ll have to watch for some thick, patchy fog forming into the Monday morning commute. The next round of rain appears likely by Tuesday, some heavy at times before things change back to showers again on Wednesday. A cooler northwesterly flow seems to be setting up for later in the week, which usually means incoming weather systems not packing as much rain as the ones we’ve seen recently, but bringing in lower snow levels – possibly near the higher hills around the Bay Area as we approach New Year’s Eve.
