Sunny Saturday, Sunday Showers

After a chilly start we’ll see a mostly sunny day to kick off the weekend. Highs will be in the upper 50s to mid 60s across the Bay Area as high clouds begin filling in for the evening. An area of low pressure sliding down the coast will spread more clouds overhead for Sunday and bring some rain to the Bay Area, with the greatest chances for areas right near the coast. Cooler air aloft closer to the low may also increase instability later in the day for Sunday to warrant a slight chance for thunder with some stronger cells, especially near the coastline. Skies will clear by Sunday evening as the low slides into Southern California. The forecast will trend drier and slightly warmer from Monday through Thursday before our next chance for rain and Sierra snow returns for next weekend.Enjoy your Saturday! – Rob Mayeda
