Unsettled Sunday, Drying Ahead

An area of low pressure will spin near the Central Coast today, tossing batches of rain our way…moving south to north by morning and some rain drifting at us more from the southeast by the afternoon. Cooler air aloft and some upper level wind support will warrant a chance for some thunder, especially near the coastline for areas south Pacifica today and San Jose southward. As this low wobbles a little further southward into Southern California on Monday, most of the shower chances should slide southward with it – with lingering chances for showers south of San Jose into midday Monday. Things should trend drier Tuesday and for most of the week as high pressure tries building in which may set us up for some foggy mornings. Hope you had a wonderful New Year’s Eve/Day – and here’s to a happy/safe 2011 – Rob Mayeda
