Video Forecast: Cooler, Breezy Start to the Weekend

A weather system dropping by the Bay Area started kick up the sea breeze on Friday and has managed to throttle up our ocean air-conditioning quite a bit for the weekend. Areas of low clouds and some drizzle/light rain are possible with some of these low clouds, otherwise plan on partly cloudy, cool and breezy conditions for Saturday. For Mother’s Day Sunday… the forecast is looking even cooler with even the slight risk of a shower or two – though most of the moisture will likely drop in north and east of Napa and Solano counties. The Sierra will turn into Winter-driving mode with snow levels near 5,000 feet by Sunday evening! That should tell you something about the chilly nature of the airmass moving in. Temperatures look fairly cool into Monday with a slow, modest warmup around midweek – mainly in the 60s to mid 70s range. Bundle up if you’re heading out to the Giants game this evening – speaking of which, Kris Sanchez uncovered an interesting weather study on sunny vs. cloudy days and baseball game outcomes. Check it out at the start of the clip! Enjoy your Saturday and Happy Mom’s Day! – Rob Mayeda
