Video Forecast: Misty, Muggy Morning and Mild Temps

We’ve got some serious humidity outside this morning with dewpoints running in the mid to upper 50s = ‘sticky’ feeling to the air outside. Thankfully unlike our friends east of the Rockies – we won’t be coupling high humidity with scorching heat. Instead our slow to leave pattern of morning low clouds and drizzle following by inland clearing looks to continue today with below average temperatures. A weather system moving inland to our north is managing to drop some rain north of Ukiah today! The net effect for us to to keep winds moving in from off the ocean and eventually perhaps some cooler air aloft that will (hopefully) mix down and break up some of the low clouds even near the coastline. A very subtle warmup is expected Monday into Tuesday but for more noticeable warming its looking like we’ll have to wait until Thursday. This is when high pressure should begin nudging back our way again which will squish down the low clouds to the coastline again and lead to inland temperatures reaching the 80s to low 90s or closer to seasonal averages approaching next weekend. Enjoy your Sunday and GO TEAM USA!!! – Rob Mayeda
