Video Forecast: Misty Coast, Toasty Inland & Weekend Thunder?

High pressure has compressed down the marine layer – good for some misty skies and patchy low clouds/fog around the coastline and inner bay for the morning. We’ll see sunshine winning out later for our inland valleys with temperatures in the 80s to 90s – hottest for places like Morgan Hill, Pleasanton, Concord and Livermore, yet comfortable 60s and 70s near the coastline and San Francisco. Not much change expected in our temperatures as the weekend begins – the item to watch will be mid-level moisture that may try streaming in from the south. This can on occasion lead to fire danger concerns when mid-level clouds/thunder brings lightning through a dry surface layer. However its looking like most of this activity will be staying just to our south and east, but bears some watching this weekend. Enjoy your Thursday! – Rob Mayeda
