Video Forecast: Mild Temps, Foggy and Cool Inland

Depending on where you are, your point of view on the weekend forecast could be very mild, if not warm or on the opposite end of the forecast – fog-cooled and chilly! This spread of temperatures is made possible by high pressure building in promoting a slight offshore breeze, pushing in Central Valley fog into our East Bay and North Bay valleys (where typical overnight radiation fog will also occur). In this type of pattern we usually see cool 50s across the East Bay inland valleys with mid to upper 60s closer to the South Bay and near Santa Cruz. We’ll also be watching some high clouds from time to time, the outer fringe of a pretty soggy pattern moving into the Pacific Northwest. No rain is expected for us but some clouds at times will be the trend into Monday. The next shift in our weather pattern will probably occur late Wednesday as an area of low pressure sweeps down over the Sierra and brings a cooling trend with breezy conditions and possibly a few showers to our east.In the meantime, enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend! – Rob Mayeda
