Video Forecast: Mostly Mild Weekend

Friends and family living east of the Rockies will no doubt be calling you this weekend asking about how nice the weather is in California. The Bay Area will again be enjoying a moderate sea breeze insure both good air quality but fairly comfortable temperatures that are slightly cooler than average for our Summer microclimate pattern. Expect highs mainly in the 60s and 70s near the beaches and inner bay with some 80s for our inland valleys. We may approach near 90 in places in far eastern Solano/Alameda/Contra Costa counties, but not especially warm for this time of year. Temps are expected to cool slightly early next week before a possible swing to much hotter weather as we approach next week – if the computer models are right we could see a fairly large, strong ridge of high pressure over us by next weekend. Like you, I’ll believe it when I see it at this point as our temps have really been very mild so far this Summer. Enjoy your weekend! – Rob Mayeda
