Videocast: “Seattle Sunshine” Drippy Start, Drier Finish

Lots of low level moisture is being shoved over the hills around the Bay Area – adding a little extra lift to wring out areas of drizzle/light rain that should begin winding down with some clearing later in afternoon. Highs should stay in the mid 50s to low 60s. Sunday will start off with increasing clouds leading to more substantial rain by the evening. The main event looks to be Sunday night until around noon Monday with .25″ to .75″ rain likely and cooler air aloft to support snow near 4,000 ft. About time! Things should clear by Tuesday morning – then the computer models begin arguing with what to make of Tuesday evening/Wednesday morning with a compact area of low pressure rolling down the coast. We may see showers out of this so stay tuned…Enjoy your Saturday and this dose of “Seattle Sunshine” – aka grey/filtered sunlight mixed with heavy drizzle/light rain at times. – Rob Mayeda
