Videocast: Some Showers Soon

We’re seeing some changes in the weather today starting out with increasing clouds and winds starting to pick up by late afternoon from 15-30 mph. The cause for this of course is a weather system that will begin spreading showers over the North Bay around midday and into the rest of the Bay Area by evening. This system is weakening as it arrives and moving fairly quickly so rain totals are expected to be light. Cooler air will follow into Wednesday and Thursday with temps lowering into the 50s for highs for many places then warming slightly by Friday. For now the weekend is looking warmer and drier with highs rising into the 60s and 70s. The item to watch toward the end of the forecast is a fairly large area of low pressure that will begin approaching the coastline early next week, this system bears watching as it will have a connection to the subtropical jet stream offering much higher rain totals around the middle of next week. Enjoy your Tuesday! – Rob Mayeda
