Videocast: Spring-like Weekend

The only thing that appears Winter-like about the forecast is our chilly morning temperatures, assisted by dry air and clear skies patchy frost and temps in the low 30s started the day for our North/East/Salinas valley locations. Nearly everyone should see temps in the mid 60s today, possibly 70s near the hills and areas south of San Jose as winds go from slightly offshore to trending onshore by the end of the weekend.Sunday should see this wind shift push some low clouds near the coastline again with increasing high clouds around sunset. There will be a slight chance for some showers mainly north of San Francisco overnight into early Monday morning, possibly here/there for the North Bay during the first half of the morning commute. Another fairly weak system will brush by the Bay Area Monday night into Tuesday, with a small chance for showers for the far North Bay. Beyond that, it seems high pressure reigns supreme with dry weather and more mild temperatures likely to kick of February. Enjoy your Saturday! – Rob Mayeda
