Videocast: Windy & Showery Start

Monday morning will start off with locally gusty winds and rain changing to scattered showers by mid-morning, eventually clearing away from the South/East Bay by lunchtime. High pressure is expected to once again build in over much of the state, bringing another round of dry conditions and mild temperatures though midweek. Patchy dense morning fog may be a limiting factor on these temps though, especially in the North or East Bay valleys where Central Valley fog may drift in under a light offshore breeze overnight. There’s a chance we could see the return of some showers late next weekend courtesy of a inside slider-type colder system dropping in from the north. These typically don’t have much moisture to work with (since they drop in over land) and more often than not will affect the Sierra more than the Bay Area in terms of precipitation. Enjoy your Monday! Rob Mayeda
