Warmer Start to the Week

Feels like Summer: First a review and preview of the “Supermoon” and future astronomy treats for Bay Area viewing in the next 4 weeks including a partial annular solar eclipse, lunar eclipse and planetary transit over the Sun.Now to the weather, high pressure will give us at least two days of 80s and 90s inland to start the work week before the ocean air conditioning returns midweek with more low clouds and cooling temperatures.Look for highs in the 70s to lower 80s around the coast/bay with temperatures climbing to near 90 or slightly above into parts of Solano, Contra Costa, Alameda and the southern end of the Santa Clara Valley. Tuesday may see some cooling near the coast as the sea breeze begins to ramp up however the widespread cooling will probably hold off until Wednesday especially for our inland East Bay valleys.Temps may climb again heading into next weekend, depending on where exactly a cut off low forms off the Southern California coast. The recent computer model trends have been to push the low a little further offshore, pumping up the high pressure ridge across California which would lead to more warm/hot inland temps.
