Wild Weather Not Quite Done

Our troublesome low pressure that sat mostly quiet offshore during the day Sunday is moving inland overnight near Monterey. As this system approaches we’ll see increasing chances for showers and isolated thunder for areas south of San Jose and along the East Bay/North Bay inland hills/valleys (especially areas east of 680) from 7pm-11pm. Some lingering showers may stick around for the morning commute (especially South Bay/East Bay hills) before skies begin to trend drier and some clearing heading into Monday evening. High pressure will build back enough to promote a more familiar June pattern = coastal low clouds with more 70s inland around Wednesday-Friday. However – its looking like another trough (!) will drop in us by Friday night that will bring temperatures downward again and possibly re-introduce showers to the forecast – mainly for the coastal hills/North Bay for next Saturday…so stay tuned (again!). – Rob Mayeda
