Windy Weather Soon

High clouds mixed with sunshine will be the trend of the day with increasing northwesterly winds into the afternoon. Highs should be mainly in the 70s with some spots approaching 80 inland. Starting Thursday our attention turns to a gusty north to northeast winds developing which will bring much drier conditions to the hills, likely warranting some fire weather warnings by Thursday night into Friday. As this air descends from the hills down to the coastline, temps will warm all the way to the ocean with most spots in the mid to upper 70s near the beaches with 80s around the bay and for the valleys. Saturday should see a less wind and warmer temps with 80s to possibly near 90 in the warmest valleys, with temps cooling some by Sunday as onshore wind returns to begin cooling things off again.Rob Mayeda
