Bobbi Kristina Brown will be making her acting debut in Tyler Perry’s TBS sitcom “For Better or Worse,” the Daily News reported.
The news comes several weeks after the 19-year-old revealed to Oprah Winfrey her hope to follow in her mother’s footsteps.
“I gotta carry on her legacy,” Bobbi Kristina said. “It’s a lot of pressure, but [my mom] prepared me for it.”
The Los Angeles Times reported that a representative for Perry confirmed the casting, but no further details were provided.
Perry, 42, is a close friend of the Houston family. He spoke at Houston’s funeral and offered his private jet to fly Houston’s body home.
Bobbi Kristina will play a recurring role in the sitcom, her first major role as an actress.
The comedic series, which is based on Perry’s hit films “Why Did I Get Married?” and “Why Did I Get Married Too?,” centers around a married couple played by Michael Jai White and Tasha Smith.
