DHS Secretary Mayorkas Talks Family Reunification Strategy

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas discussed the new administration’s priorities in Monday’s White House press briefing. “To put it succinctly, the prior administration dismantled our nation’s immigration system in its entirety.” Specifically, he spoke to joint efforts to tackle family reunification, an initiative led by former Women’s Refugee Commission staffer Michelle Brané. “This is an all-of-society effort to do what is right.”
