‘Game of Thrones': Kit Harington Maintains ‘Jon Snow Is Dead'

Harington will hit the stage in the UK this spring, but he can't escape questions about his character from the hit HBO drama.

Kit Harington is sticking to the script. While on "BBC Breakfast" promoting his turn in "Doctor Faustus" on the West End, the "Game of Thrones" star dodged questions about Jon Snow as best he could.

"I think anyone who wants to know what happens in season six has to wait until it comes out," Harington said during the interview (video below). "All I can tell you is Jon Snow is dead. He died at the end of last season."

Sure, we saw him die. But he was also later spotted on set and he's the star of HBO's "Game of Thrones" season six promotional materials. So, he could be dead. But he's totally back.  [[366733711,C]]

Maisie Williams essentially said the same thing when asked about Jon Snow's fate.

"Everyone was so sad about it, and I feel so mean because I speak to people and they're all like, 'Jon Snow, is he back?' And it's really heartbreaking because people are like, 'Yeah, but he's coming back though?' It's a great twist, but I can't say he's going to be alive," Williams said.

BBC host Bill Turnbull asked if Jon Snow's spirit lives on and Harington shot back, "Who knows? You'll have to wait and see."

As for season six, Harington said, "It's going to be an exciting season," and quickly added, "So I'm led to believe."

This jibes with what Emilia Clarke teased. "I really can't say much apart from you'll see the biggest moments on television that have ever existed," Clarke told us at HBO's Golden Globes party.

"Game of Thrones" returns on Sunday, April 24 on HBO.
