Portland Mayor Says Train Stabbing Attack an Act of Terrorism

Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler called Friday’s stabbing attack on a MAX train an act of terrorism, suggesting a permanent memorial to be installed at the transit station where three men were stabbed. Jeremy Christian fatally stabbed Rick John Best, 53, and Taliesin Myrddin Namkai-Meche, 23, leaving Micah David-Cole Fletcher, 21, injured from the same attack after the three tried to protect two women from Christian’s racist and anti-Muslim slurs.
