WATCH: Bronx Gunman Opens Fire in Front of Deli as Children Skip Nearby

NBC 4 New York has obtained exclusive footage of mayhem on the street in the Edenwald neighborhood of the Bronx. Marc Santia reports.

Police are looking for the gunman who was caught on camera Saturday running up to a man outside a Bronx deli and opening fire as children skipped down the sidewalk steps away.

The gunman approached the 27-year-old victim on Laconia Avenue in Edenwald. He fired several shots, hitting the man in the chest. Within 10 seconds after the shooting, the gunman is seen running away.

Surveillance footage of the shooting shows a group of people, including at least two kids, walking toward the deli. Once shots were fired, the group runs in the opposite direction, along with the shooting victim and another man who was standing under the deli’s awning.

The 27-year-old victim was taken to the hospital after the shooting and is in stable condition.
